JOOMATIC DEVEL has an internal update system that give you a "check for updates" link under the principal menu. With this function you will never need to uninstall JOOMATIC DEVEL to upgrade an older version (or at least this will happen only few times for possible bugs inside the updater... :( ). However this function will be available only until the first JOOMATIC SETUP stable release. With JOOMATIC SETUP you will obtain updates for all JOOMATIC packages as for JOOMLA CORE and all SUPPORTED THIRDY PART extensions.
PROJECT STATUS
Joomatic packages are divided into four principal categories: SETUP, ADMIN, DEVEL and TOOLS (Joopot, Joobot, Joofox, Jooice, Jooppa, Joojob, Jookas, Joocop and Joombo). Each of these four categories have many tasks in progress and they are executed with different priorities. All packages are associated to a Super Version Label that indicate if the software is compatible with Joomla 1.0+ (Mouse Ver.) or with 1.5+ (Owl ver.).... Remember that Owls eat Mouses... Below are reported the forecast for the availability of first releases of various Joomatic parts:
