Informations and services that I can give to users are grouped into free of charge categories or other commercial ones. My
work is the way to put practically my passions. The FREE SOFTWARE and
the Open Source are the model and the tool with which I prefer to
execute my work and therefore to satisfy my passions.
All my projects are released under GPL/LGPL licences, beyond FREE OF
CHARGE, because I believe that cannot exist really evolution if the
knowledge is not for all.
Out society, based on economical systems that are oriented to the
consumption, is demostrating undoubtedly his embrittlement and this
depend just by his structure type. The FREE SOFTWARE, with his
costantly growing position, is demonstrating instead the human desire
for a new "way to see the things".
But
there is again a lot of "ignorance" regarding this phenomenon. A lot of
people perceive the words "FREE SOFTWARE" as synonym of "FREE OF
CAHRGE" and see all software developed through this idea as things to
take and use without respect to who have worked strong to make and
share their products. Still worse, other people, not understanding that
the FREE SOFTWARE can be a real fair JOB, think that who support this
idea is doing this only as a pastime.
Fortunately there are a lot of other people that have instead married this idea.
The
overwhelming majority of us is using every day a lot of FREE SOFTWARE
or however other products based on it. Others that say to not use this
type of software are, in most cases, unconscious of using a lot of
products that are based upon GNU/GPL programs. For example, do you know
that there are a lot of router that are based on free software
firmware? Software is everywhere and not only into you computer! We all
should think on how much is importat that somone is engage himself to
create FREE OPEN Alternative to proprietary software.
A proprietary software is a closed source software that is producted by
a company, or a single man, for commercial purpose and that limit your
FREEDOM to learn how it work, to change what you have bought to fit
your needs and to share what you have payed for with friends or others
that have not an economical condition to buy the product as you have
done. Usually it will be sold. The creator of the product should have
to sell it because need to earn to develop, mantain and support his
produtc. Generally, the economic relationship with the supplier of
proprietary software carry often to an enrichment of this last and to
an insatisfaction of the customer because the cost of this type of
programs are usually too much high beyond obligatory. Moreover the
contract clauses limit too the final user privating him from rights and
possibilities fundamentally for the free development and for the full
increase. Above all in the case of customers with less economic
possibility, the proprietary software represent one of the principal
obstacles during the implementation of activity in which the informatic
technology is essential.
An alternative to the proprietary softeare is another FREE SOFTWARE
program tha can be done the same things the the first also can be done
but of which we can examine the "internal construction" to study and
eventually adapt for own requirements.
FREE
SOFTWARE means being transparent with all people because every could
see into the code, exchange it, modify it and check it for find
eventual unpleasant, dangerous or simply not desired functions.
FREE SOFTWARE means to be independent from how have product a
particular program so that, if a day we wouldn't never be his costumer,
we will be able to ask others that will be able to support us.
FREE SOFTWARE means to be able to learn seeing wath others have already
done and therefore go up on the shoulders of giants as Newton said much
time ago.
FREE SOFTWARE meand to be able to help one with the other, in thousands
of thousands, to improve own products and those of others, to advantage
of entire humanity.
Usually
the FREE SOFTWARE is also FREE OF CHARGE but this is not mandatory. The
creator of the product usually give it for FREE OF CHARGE because he
understand that all people should have access to technology otherwise
progess is not fair. But that not means that the creator of the product
don't need money to live. He need to have money as all of us and
therefore don't think that FREE SOFTWARE must mean FREE OF CHARGE. It's
good and fair if you understand that sacrifice should be rewarded.
Think to want you want to receive, if you would have to be done the
same things, and then give that to others that are already doing these
things.
If we all wants to continue to use a FREE SOFTWARE always improved,
benifitting of positive effetcs from it generated, we MUST help who
have produced it and that give support to the community.
Few money do not represent a sacrifice for the greater part of us but
is important for who are working to give us more FREEDOM. A lot of us
spend a lot of money every day, too much time for useless things...
If we make a donation to who are offering us a FREE SOFTWARE, or if we
buy a symbolic copy or their software, we are helping all the FREE
SOFTWARE community. Moral responsibility is important! Think to that while you are using a FREE SOFTWARE.
If all of us would have to be done the good of others, every one of
us would have a world of people that would be preoccupied for himself.
Think different! FREE SOFTWARE means viral evolution!
However, if wouldn't be that, how many FREE SOFTWARE projects, started from the scratch with few heroes, would have been grown?
It requires much time but evolution will never stop. We can't avoit it.
We can only prepare ourselves to the future. Help the FREE SOFTWARE and
prepare yourself for tomorrow.

Life have today a proibitive cost for all of us. In Italy we need at least 30.000 Euro per year to mantain a little family. I'm dedicating myself to the FREE SOFTWARE because I want to fight for a better life for all peolple that I love. I want to be honest and at same time doing the things that I like.
